Crazy early thoughts

Russell claimed to have identified the exact spot where Heaven is located as the star Alcyone in the centre of the Pleides constellation.
This eccentric "truth" was later embellished by Rutherford who declared in the book "Reconciliation"(1928) : "The constellation of the seven stars forming the Pleides appears to be the crowning centre around which the known systems of the planets revolve even as our sun's planets obey the Sun and travel in their respective orbits.
It has been suggested ..... that one of that group is the dwelling place to which the inspired writer referred when he said "Hear thou from thy dwellingplace even from heaven" (2chron 6:21) and that is the place to which Job reffered when under inspiration he wrote "Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleides,or loose the bonds of Orion" (job 38:3)



I am hoping that others will add some of the crazy early ideas to this thread in the hope that those reading will see how changeable the society has been over the years. These are Mans thoughts and if this really was "The Truth" God would surely not have allowed all this changeability to his divine plan!

I moved from the Pleiades estate back in 1914 and relocated to Ursa Major.

Pleides had become a right shithole. Satan and his missus had moved into the area. The whole place turned into a right dive, loud music and party's late into the night, drug dealing, vandalism and anti social behavior.

Me and Jeez and the crew were lucky to get out when we did, property prices have plummeted since. Somebody should do something about that lot.....Oh...I am the somebody aren't I.

Ursa Majors great, its a gated community, gotta swimming pool, hairdresser, coffee shop the full bollox, Me and old Jeez love it here.
Bus service is great too, nice Polish bus driver, can't understand a word he's saying but always a smile and a nod. Need a reliable service for when I picks up me pension, yep I'm a pensioner now, getting on a bit you know.

Had a bit of a larf the other day, well it must have been 1928 earth time. God doesn't time fly,, sorry,, I mean ME, doesn't time fly. Old beardy Russel and his lot were standing on Brooklyn Bridge waiting for Me to beam them up here. They must be joking, this is a respectable neighborhood, Me and Jeezy boy don't want any of that door knocking nonsense up here thank you very much. We'll take old Maxey boy though, Me and Jeez loves a good laugh and a drink too for that matter.
Jeez is an absolute star in that regard, can turn anything in a spot of the old vino.

Oh by the way, were postponing Armaggedon till way way after the 2012 Olympics now. I loves sports Me, mind you the games are rubbish now, haven't been any good since the days when I watched Christians running the f*ck around those arenas trying to outrun the lions. Hark at me anyone would think I'm a right nasty bastard, mind you if you do I'll zap you.
